Lesson Rules

If conditions prohibit the teaching of riding theory, a barn lesson can be offered at the option of the management. Lesson
times are set by the trainer prior to the start of each session. It is important for the student to arrive at least 20 minutes prior to the starting time of their lesson. This gives the student time to check in with their instructor, tack up their horse and prepare for their lesson. Do not assume that the horse will be tacked up and ready to ride. As a common courtesy please call if you are unable to arrive in a timely manner. We only have availability for a certain number of students and your regularly scheduled time slot is valuable.

An additional $45.00 will be charged for any checks returned for insufficient funds.

No partial refunds once the session begins.

All students or parent /legal guardian must sign a standard riders release form before starting any type of lesson program

All students MUST wear an approved AHSA riding helmet with a harness at all times when mounted on a horse.

All students must wear shoes with a heel and long pants.
Student must have hair properly tucked into helmet or neatly in a ponytail.

The following are the responsibility of the student:

All horses/ ponies must be properly cleaned and tacked before a student’s lesson.

Every horse/pony must be cooled down, brushed and put away properly after each lesson.
Students are responsible for replacing any lost or broken tack due to negligence, i.e., if you let your horse step on the reins and tear up
the bridle, the average cost to replace a set of reins is $50

Private and semi-private lessons are available to all riders.

Private lesson are available for 50minutes. Semi-private lessons are made up of 2 or 3 riders and are for 50minutes.
Make up lessons must be scheduled and the lesson must be taken within two weeks of the missed lesson. It is up to the student to contact the trainer to schedule the make-up lesson. Failure to do so within the two weeks will result in the student forfeiting the make-up lesson and will be billed for the original missed lesson.
