This program was developed to safely give kids ages 6 -11 a well rounded foundation in a social learning environment. This program is structured to develop all knowledge and skill sets, not just riding in a fun, interactive environment. An excellent approach to riding as an introduction to formal lessons.
Material covered in “Pony UP Program”;
Basic rules of the stable & safety around the stable and horses.
General horse handling skills for every day activities (catching a pony, haltering, leading, giving corrections to the pony, knowing basic horse behavior).
Grooming and basic horse care.
Basic feeding information.
Tack & equipment use and basic care.
Introduction to riding at the walk and trot.
In this program students work in small groups (4-8) building the foundation of comfort and safety before a child begins regular riding lessons. Each session has two instructors present. Utilizing learning games and team building activities, our youngest students develop their knowledge base in a fun environment.
Rates:$100/ for each session which includes four classes (each approx 2 hrs)These classes are scheduled on Weds 4pm -6pm.
Each student receives a workbook as part of their enrollment, and Pony UP T-shirt. Parents are encouraged to assist their child and learn with them, so enjoy your workbook together as a family. If you would like to enroll or for more information, please emailchateauvillefarms@live.com
